ABSTRACT

This atlas utilizes a bacteriological positioning system (BPS) based on oxidationreduction potential (ORP) expressed in millivolts (fmv). ORP forms the x axis (latitude) and water viscosity as the log factor of centipoise (fcP) forms the y axis (longitude). Each bacterial consorm is defined by its focal point location (FPL) expressed as fmv:fcP). Its FPL locates it on the grid formatted bacteriological atlas. The x axis is subdivided into four major subgroups: (R = reductive; G = gradient; F = front (or interface); and O = oxidative. Each subgroup has six grid positions. This makes a total of 24 potential grid positions along the x axis representing ORP originally measured in millivolts and presented as fmv (fmv of 1 is most reductive; 24 is the most oxidative). The y axis defines water viscosity within which the consorm is active. Five units (0, 1, 2, 3, 4) are based on the log value of the centipoises (cP). Each unit is subdivided into six subunits. This creates a y axis with 30 units differentiated (5 groupings × 6 subunits). See Table 10.17 for the factorial relationships applied in calculating fmv and fcP.
