ABSTRACT
Electrical plasmas are produced when gases become ionized, as a result of which they are electrically conducting and optically emitting. Examples of such plasmas, which occur naturally, are lightning strikes and the sun. Plasmas can also be produced for, or occur in, many areas of technology.
