ABSTRACT
In nonlinear finite element analysis, a solution is typically sought using Newton iteration, in classical form or augmented as an arc length method to bypass critical points in the load-deflection behavior. Another important topic is the treatment of incompressibility in nonlinear problems. Here three additional treatments of numerical methods are presented.
