ABSTRACT
Many measurements in industrial ergonomics involve the use of electronic or mechanical instruments. Too o–en a lack of the basic fundamentals of measurement, electronic principles, and sensors can lead to unwitting measurement errors. Ergonomics practitioners and researchers should therefore be familiar with how electronic instruments operate and be aware of possible sources of error that can a™ect measurement systems.
