ABSTRACT
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is a set of ITU-T standards approved in 1984 for digital transmission over ordinary telephone copper wire as well as over other media. ISDN involves the digitization of the telephone network, which permits voice, data, text, graphics, music, video, and other source material to be transmitted over existing telephone wires.
