ABSTRACT
Fault tolerance is an important issue in broadband communication networks. The majority of broadband communication applications, from credit card transactions to cellular conversations, assume that a reliable network will always be available. Therefore, designing and sustaining a fault-tolerant broadband network covering several failure scenarios becomes a major issue.
