ABSTRACT
Let us discuss the various aspects of remotely sensed images the end user should be familiar with in selecting the right data source. Imagery can be expressed in four dimensions: (1) spatial, (2) spectral, (3) radiometric, and (4) temporal. In the following sections, we will discuss each of these aspects and the importance of each of the dimensions on information extraction from a scene.
