ABSTRACT
Strychnine has claimed its permanent place in human mythology. The very name triggers in most peoples’ minds a morbid, or gleeful, frisson with overtones of Halloween, despite the fact that most know rather little about it. It is usually confused with arsenic, with cyanide, with nerve gas…the name is taken in vain.
