ABSTRACT
This chapter will cover LASIK postoperative complications. It is not uncommon that these complications arise from preoperative and intraoperative complications as discussed in Chap. 15 and 26 (Figures 26.1-26.3). Although several studies have focused on these complications (1-34), most studies included a relatively small number of patients and reported a relatively small number of complications. In a study (2) on 1026 eyes that underwent LASIK, the rate of postoperative complications averaged 3.1%.
