An.expert.witness. is.often.difficult. to.define.or.describe..Some.observers.may. contend. that.an.expert. is. the.person. from.fifty.miles.away.who.comes.around. occasionally.to.voice.the.same.opinions.he.or.she.has.been.voicing.all.along,.just. to.help.support.his.or.her.opinion.and.get.paid..Others.argue.that.the.idea.of.an. expert.witness. is.questionable.because. that. individual. could.be.viewed. simply. as.a.hired.technical.mouthpiece.for.either.the.prosecution.or.defense..Yet.other. attorneys.and.courts.insist.that.using.an.expert.witness.is.the.only.way.to.take.a. technical.case.beyond.the.realm.of.theory.and.legal.jargon.and.make.it.applicable. to.those.hearing.the.arguments.and.assigned.the.task.of.passing.judgment.
