ABSTRACT
This chapter and Chapter 4 are devoted to the probability distributions of the payments an insurance organization provides during a given period. Chapter 3 is purely mathematical and concerns the notion of conditional expectation which we start to use in Chapter 4. Our exposition will proceed as follows.
