ABSTRACT
Mobile computing and wireless communication have experienced large improvements that have lead to the development of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). In such systems the focus is on improving safety on the roads and providing comfort applications. is chapter introduces safety applications in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET). It classi es safety applications in di erent categories and describes each application individually.
