ABSTRACT

Drug Delivery There is a wide disparity between the perceptions of those who supply, directly or indirectly, the drugs, medications, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and over-the-counter formulations and the perceptions of those who consume, use, or require those products. In addition, the patient or consumer usually has little voice or choice in the prescriptions given, the form of treatment, the container used for drugs, the clarity of instructions, and how specific personal needs can be best satisfied. This chapter presents some of the concerns and problems of the patient as perceived by the consumer.
