ABSTRACT

In this chapter, a number of current HRA models and methods will be discussed from the point of view of their design characteristics. HRA methods differ in their characteristics. Here the characteristics have been separated into three groups: task, time, and context related. The divisions may be a bit arbitrary, but the characterization enables the various HRA methods to be compared against some measures. In Chapter 7, there is a discussion of the pros and cons of each method. This chapter covers a little of the historical development of HRA methods.
