ABSTRACT
No laser user wants to receive a laser eye injury or skin burn (although some think of a minor laser finger burn as a right of passage). This statement is like saying none of us wants a speeding ticket, yet we all keep on exceeding the speed limit. So, how is our laser safety “gene” doing? If we are honest with each other, the answer is that we could be doing better, but that takes effort, and not all laser users see the need for such effort.
