ABSTRACT
Certain diagnostic methods that use light-activated chemical reactions for diagnostic purposes and that have been developed over the years are discussed in the next section. A review of technological developments resulting from the increasing demands for resolution and physiological details is presented for the selected diagnostic methodologies. The relevance to the process of gauging patient performance is illustrated as well.
