ABSTRACT

Boucot (1990a) reviewed many examples of host-parasite relations, including fungal relations, but seldom dealt with other situations, except in the case of humans (4AIIIj), which are on a nonevolutionary time scale. Below we list a few of these and discuss them. The best treatment of skeletal paleopathology we have seen is provided by Rothschild and Martin (1993), who reviewed the principles involved and evaluated and provided a number of examples; their book appears to be far more reliable in its diagnoses and suggestions than prior efforts by others (see also Rothschild and Martin, 2006a).
