In the case of electronic conductor-gas phase interfaces, comparative studies of the behavior of single crystal surfaces of pure metals and bulk alloys with electrocatalysts have been carried out for several years. The use of true single crystals for the development of electrocatalytic reactions has provided insights into the sensitivity of the reaction.
