Great advances to knowledge obtained from Newton’s mechanics were made at the beginning of the twentieth century, particularly in the understanding of the quantum mechanical structure of matter. These developments made a new connection between mathematics and theoretical physics, producing a cooperative development that provided path-breaking scientific insights. Quantum mechanics, the new discipline in theoretical physics, provided a primarily new approach for restructuring mathematical concepts in the analysis of the main structure of matter with great success.
