ABSTRACT
The series (40.4b) [(40.6b)] converges inside (40.4a) (outside) [(40.6a)] the unit disk, that is, disjoint regions except for the boundary; the series (40.5b) converges in an overlapping region (40.5a), viz. the disk of radius unity and center at the point unity (Figure 40.1a), and performs the analytic continuation between (40.4b) and (40.6b).
