ABSTRACT

In accordance with the defi nition given by the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council, “ pressure sensitive” is a “term commonly used to designate a distinct category of adhesive tapes and adhesives which in dry form (solvent/water free) are aggressively and permanently tacky at room temperature and that fi rmly adhere to a variety of dissimilar surfaces upon mere contact without the need of more than fi nger or hand pressure” [1]. Th is defi - nition contains some uncertainties regarding the conditions of formation of the adhesive joint, namely, the exact pressure and duration of its action. It is clear, however, that
