ABSTRACT
PPS was first produced in 1968 and commercially introduced in 1972 by Chevron-Phillips Chemical (CP Chem) under the trade name Ryton [1]. Other companies that manufacture PPS include Ticona Engineering Polymers [2] (under the trade name of Fortron®) and Solvay Advanced Polymers [3] (under the trade name of “Primef® Polyphenylene Sulfide).
