ABSTRACT

Besides standard library functions such as trigonometric func tions, users can con struct functions by interpolation in stored tables (Section 4.2.2) and dene their own new functions as mathematical expressions (Section 4.2.3). Section 4.3 deals with limiters, switches, and noise generators and discusses the serious problem of inte grating such functions. Section 4.4 describes simple recurrence relations (dierence equations) that model track/hold circuits, signal generators, backlash and hysteresis, and inverse functions. Sections 4.5 and 4.6 introduce a very ecient implementation of submodels and discuss switching in control-system simulations.
