ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we shall review the most common types of continuous wave (CW) lasers that can be used in colour holography. The range of commercially available, off-the-shelf CW lasers that are suitable for holographic applications has grown signicantly in the last few years. There is now a relatively large choice of laser wavelengths available-many offered by the extremely reliable diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser technology.
