ABSTRACT

This paper presents a study about the usability of destination data entry in three GPS navigation systems with different data entry methods. The study aimed to evaluate which method of entry is easier to use by both experienced and nonexperienced users, considering the effectiveness and the efficiency of the methods and the satisfaction with its use. Well-known usability methods and techniques were applied where it was possible to obtain performance metrics such as task success and task efficiency, and user satisfaction.
