ABSTRACT
In conventional studies, the allocation methodology is determined at the beginning. These schemes are called „xed or static allocation. In adaptive clinical trials, on the other hand, allocation rules can change over the course of the study. In other words, adaptive randomization or dynamic allocation can be used. In this section, types of randomizations will be reviewed, starting with traditional randomization and then exploring various adaptive randomization schemes.
