ABSTRACT

There are two different representations of the CMMI. They are the staged representation and the continuous representation.

The following discussion contains a lot of “CMMI-ese.” There is just no way around it. When using the CMMI, you must use the terminology associated with it. However, the words are sometimes confusing. A trick we use is to look at the words as separate entities and then just turn them around. For example, the next paragraph contains the words process capability. Well, what is that? Look at the words. Process capability is how capable is our process of actually providing us with the results we are looking for. And so on. Good luck.
