ABSTRACT

As described in Chapters 6 and 7, methods for scaling are based on geostatistics, spatial statistics, and characterization of imaging processes. These methods can handle change of scale for geostatistical and lattice data. Spatial problem solving often involves multisource data, which are usually multiscale. It is thus important to devise methods for integration of multiscale data, the subject for this chapter, extending the methods described in Chapters 6 and 7 to multivariate scenarios.
