ABSTRACT

Many different types of burners are used in industrial and commercial applications.1 Some examples of burners are boiler burners (see Volume 3, Chapter 3) used to produce steam and process burners (see Volume 3, Chapter 1) used to re“ne petroleum. Each industry has its own unique requirements and challenges to be addressed in the burner design. For more information about the various industries in which burners are used and their design, the reader is also referred to the other two volumes of this handbook series.
