ABSTRACT
The proper installation and maintenance of process burners is absolutely critical for the safe and ef“- cient operation of a process heater. The burners are the “heart” of the entire process system. If the burners do not function correctly, the unit will suffer and process requirements will be unachievable. Before starting a burner installation, the most important item is to review the burner drawing and the “Operating and Installation Manual” that came with the burner. The manual will include detailed instructions that will make the installation easier and help produce the desired end results. The burner drawing will show tile dimensions and gas tip orientation details with required tolerances.
