ABSTRACT
The authors wish to respectfully dedicate this chapter to Dr. Mary Lou Clements. Dr. Clements wrote the chapter for the previous edition of this book, and many of the studies reported here were influenced by her work prior to her untimely death on September 2, 1998 caused by the SwissAir 111 accident.
