ABSTRACT
Subjects addressed in this book encompass numerous cross-disciplinary academic topics and application domains. The main interest and understanding of electrons, for instance, differs depending on the discipline; physicists are mainly concerned with core-level electrons, chemists with valence-level electrons, and biologists with electrons in free radicals. Likewise, terms customarily used in one discipline are also used in different disciplines, but often in signi–cantly different contexts.
