ABSTRACT
The conventional balloon angioplasty is an outdated
approach for proximal LAD occlusion. The achievement
of an outward “normal” flow in the epicardial branches
after macroembolization is generally associated with a
poor or absent myocardial salvage due to extensive micro-
vessel disruption.
