ABSTRACT
Comprehensive analysis of a complex detergent formulation is a demanding task, which requires special know-how and, often, the application of nearly the whole spectrum of classical and modern instrumental analysis techniques. For the proper identification of all ingredients, those in the parts per million (ppm) concentration range included, even specialized laboratories have to closely cooperate with product specialists. Such an analysis requires many laboratory working hours, which means huge amounts of funding.
