Employing cloud or managed hosting as a means to deliver the performance, capacity, uptime, and rapid turnaround for additional storage. Retire old servers and old drives; replace them with a combination of new performance drives and new capacity drives. Consolidate that storage onto shared storage area network or iSCSI storage arrays. Consolidate, which creates improvement in use of tape for incremental backup, full backup and archiving, and paves the way for snapshots or local or remote mirroring to replace tape.
