ABSTRACT
Stillbirth is relatively infrequent, but it is often not realized that stillbirth occurs 10 times more often than sudden infant death. (1) In most developed countries, stillbirth accounts for a large proportion of all perinatal losses, even nowadays its cause(s) in many cases remain incompletely understood.
