ABSTRACT
Gear shaper cutters are mostly used for cutting spur and helical gears, both having either external or internal teeth. In addition, gear shaper cutters, which are often referred to as pinion cutters, may be used for machining of face gears and involute worms as well as for rough relieving of hobs.
