ABSTRACT
To make machining of a gear possible, a set of necessary conditions of proper part surface generation (PSG) must be satisfied. Satisfaction/violation of the conditions of proper PSG significantly depends on the design parameters of the gear cutting tool. Without going into details of the analysis, the set of necessary and sufficient conditions of proper PSG is briefly discussed below.
