ABSTRACT

Water is one of the most important natural resource present on this holy Earth also known as blue planet. Out of total, 97.53% water is captured in ocean as saline water, and rest 2.43% water are freshwater on this earth surface, but all fresh water are not directly useful for human beings because 1.9% are locked up in ice and glaciers which is not directly useful for living beings. 0.51% fresh water is present in underground and rest 0.02% fresh water present on earth surface in river, lakes, streams etc. Living beings including humans requires water for their sustenance and

performing various industrial, domestic and social activities. In spite of such a low presence of fresh water resource, human beings are recklessly exploiting the surface water as well as ground water resources without caring for the future generations to come.
