ABSTRACT
In this chapter will be presented the estimating methods for totals, mean, and ratios of study variables and their variances in a multi-stage sample with simple random sampling at each stage: the methods for two-and three-stage designs are illustrated in some detail and the general procedure for a multi-stage design indicated. The methods of estimation of proportion of units in a category and the use of ratio estimators will also be considered.
