ABSTRACT
Alloys are the systems in reality which can often be modelled with simple Ising models. The phase transformations occurring in alloys are important not only because of their relevance in metallurgy, but also because they provide a testing ground for concepts developed in theory of statistical mechanics. In the present arti cle, we intend to study the equilibrium and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics of alloys.
