ABSTRACT

P. Cosmulescu and P. Strateanu Polytechnic Institute, Romania The paper deals with some of the main problems of the non-destructive testing methods currently in use in civil engineering. The technical and economic importance of non-destructive testing is analysed concerning many responsibilities of the modern technique with a view to assure: increased productivity and profits, increased serviceability, safety. In order to do this, basic research and development must be carried out and accelerated. In this we will meet the needs of the world's advancing technology.
