ABSTRACT
CHAPTER7 Multi-DOF Response; Transmission Between Structures This chapter attempts to deal with the meat of the response problem in practical structures. We begin by relating the response of resonant modes to the single-dof system of the preceding chapter. Then the kinds of vibrational waves of potential importance are discussed. Next, different kinds of analyses are discussed; FEA, transfer matrix, and SEA. Applications of the methods to path analysis, vibrationinduced fatigue, and source ranking complete the chapter.
