ABSTRACT
The results of SDE have led manufacturing companies to alter the way they operate existing equipment or to modify existing procedures, increasing the capabilities of their production lines with less rework or scrap. SDE is used in all manufacturing industries, in designing prototypes, and in research laboratories. From an applied point of view, SDE can be used in studies such as process design, measurement processes, manufacturing processes, and mathematical process modeling.
