Withtheexternal/internaltoothlockwasher,twistedteethareformedonboththeinside diameterandtheoutsidediameterofthewasher.(SeeFig.15.)Thistypeofwasherisparticularlyeffectivebetweentwocomponentstopreventshiftingandretainrelativeposition.Itis idealforelectricalgroundingandisalsousedwherealargebearingsurfaceisrequiredfor oversizedorelongatedholes.
