ABSTRACT

The broadening and reduction in the intensity of the Bragg peaks confirm the dissolution of salt in the polymer host and the increase in amorphous nature of the films with the addition of the salt. Vibrational bands correspond to PEO and PVP confirm the miscibility of the blend. Attainment of smooth surface morphology upon the addition of salt suggests the enhancement of degree of amorphisity. A decrease in the degree of crystallinity is observed on doping, while Tg and Tm also showed similar trend. Single Tg measured as onset value indicates that the present polymer blend is miscible.
