ABSTRACT

According to Henry Morris, ‘dissection is the only perfect way of learning anatomy, which has been even defined as a “doctrine learned by dissections”’ ( 2 ). This image shows the classic way of teaching and learning dissection. The professor is professing at his pulpit while the demonstrator performs the actual dissection. The students are merely observers. Reforms would lead to professors descending from their pulpits and doing the dissection and finally to the students themselves doing the dissections under supervision.
