ABSTRACT
Research and development organizations need to enable innovation. But not all innovation is the same. Innovation can be evolutionary or revolutionary; it can be incremental or radical. This chapter will describe the need and importance of the various approaches to innovation while also attempting to further define and illustrate the terms associated with innovation.
