ABSTRACT
For sites where large water mains are not present to provide adequate water, other sources such as tanks, ponds, and retention can be used. The utility plan shows the locations of all utilities on and around the site, including fire lines, water lines, underground duct banks for electrical services, gas lines, storm water drains, sanitation, overhead power, etc. In cases where large public water mains are available to the site, an underground fire line can be tapped into the public water distribution (Figure 5.2).
