ABSTRACT

Abstract: Phthalocyanine dyes are popularly known to develop cheaper brilliant blue shades on cellulosics. The shades produced are exceptionally resistant to all acid, alkali, oxidising and reducing agents. Phthalic anhydride – in combination with other chemicals – specifically copper complex form the blue hue where four phthalocyanine molecules remain attached with one copper atom. The complete process includes, preparation of liquor, padding, drying, curing and developing. However, the dyeing technology is complicated and requires huge attention.
